Runlocal is a tunnel service — it forwards HTTP requests between the internet and your local machine in real time. We don't store your traffic. We don't log your requests. We don't track you. There is nothing to sell, share, or breach.

What we don't do

  • No request logging — HTTP requests and responses are proxied in real time and never written to disk
  • No analytics — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no tracking scripts of any kind
  • No cookies — the tunnel uses WebSocket, no cookies are set
  • No accounts — no signup, no email collection, no user database
  • No third-party scripts — the landing page loads one font (Inter from Google Fonts) and nothing else

What we do

  • Forward traffic — HTTP requests arrive, get forwarded to your CLI via WebSocket, and the response comes back. That's it.
  • Assign subdomains — a random adjective-animal pair is generated in memory and forgotten when you disconnect
  • Standard server logs — Phoenix produces standard Elixir logger output (timestamps, request paths, status codes). These are ephemeral container logs, not persisted to any database or log aggregation service.

Runlocal does not collect personal data. The service operates without accounts, without cookies, and without persistent storage.

When you use the tunnel:

  • Your HTTP traffic is forwarded in real time through a WebSocket connection and is never persisted
  • A random subdomain is assigned in memory and released when you disconnect
  • Standard server logs (timestamps, paths, status codes) exist only in ephemeral container output

Runlocal does not set any cookies. The tunnel connection uses WebSocket, and the landing page does not use cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

The landing page loads the Inter font from Google Fonts. No other third-party services are used. The tunnel itself uses no third-party services.
